Northeast Ohio Companies Thrive Despite Economy Says NEO Growth Watch

New business barometer developed by Web design experts at The Karcher Group showcases successful small businesses

NEO Growth Watch is designed to showcase the successes of Northeast Ohio and Stark County small businesses. The Karcher Group developed the project to show residents that there are plenty of innovative, growing companies in the region.

NEO Growth Watch officially hit the radio waves this week with a series of commercials that feature participating companies such as 415 Group, Lyke Financial, DeVille Development, PCRS Technologies, JF Makers and Hartville RV. They can be heard on 640 AM WHLO and 1060 AM - Living Bread Radio. The campaign will continue throughout the year with additions to the Web site and television commercials.

Even at this early stage, the Growth Watch project is receiving a warm welcome from local businesses leaders. Rich Craig, a partner with The 415 Group, believes that it’s a long overdue necessity for Northeast Ohio.

“It frustrates me to only see the job losses and plant closings on the news when I have clients in town that are far outperforming their national and international peers,” says Craig. “I know the Jackson-Belden Chamber of Commerce has increased its membership by 250 companies over the past three years - a 100% increase in total membership. That shouldn't be happening if the economy in this area is as bad as the national news makes it out to be.”
